CentreDepartments

The HCTS has established five departments cutting across traditional disciplinary boundaries and regional foci in order to deepen the already existing expertise in the Humanities at Heidelberg University. It has further incorporated two professors from other institutes with regional expertise on and beyond Asia. All seven departments stimulate transcultural research in diverse fields at the HCTS with their theoretical and methodological debates. They further integrate these in the training of young academics in the Master's and Graduate Programs for Transcultural Studies.
