The M.A. Transcultural Studies is a two-year full-time programme amounting to 120 ECTS. One regular module usually consists of two to three courses. The last term is spent for conceptualizing and writing the MA-thesis.

• Module "Transcultural Studies": One introductory course and one additional course in one study focus (14 CP)
• Module "Orientation": One introductory course in one study focus and one course of free choice (14 CP)

In a mandatory meeting with the programme coordinator at the end of the first term, each student will decide on the study focus to follow throughout the remaining programme.

• Module "Focus I": Two courses in the selected study focus (14 CP)
• Module "Focus II": One course in the selected study focus and one course of free choice (14 CP)

• Module "Advanced Transcultural Studies I": One advanced course in the selected study focus and one course of free choice (14 CP)
• Module "Advanced Transcultural Studies II": At least two courses of free choice (16 CP)

NOTE: We encourage students to use this term as a mobility term, spending time abroad for project work, study exchange etc.

• Module "Oral Examination": One colloquium accompanying the writing of the Master-thesis (4 CP)
• Module "Master-Thesis" (30 CP)
