Chinese Women's Magazines - External researchers invited for testing
The project has invited a group of twenty researchers as trial-users of the database. They have agreed to provide feedback that will be used to further refine the existing platform. For a number of specific questions a questionnaire was prepared which will be used for statistical analysis.
The "Chinese Women's Magazines from the Late Qing and Early Republican Periods" website provides rich annotations of four important journals from the first half or the 20th century. It records comprehensive data in English and Chinese on the contents of these magazines including titles and authors of articles, captions on photographs, and advertisement headings, together with metadata crucial to research on these materials including keywords, genres, and biographical information.
