Eliane Ettmüller gave speech about Abou Naddara

Dr. Eliane Ettmüller, Alumna and Associate Member of the Cluster "Asia and Europe", gave a speech on "L’exil du patriote Abou Naddara et l’origine de la presse satirique illustrée arabe à Paris" at the seventh session of the Séminaire Transfopress at the University Paris-Diderot on December 12. At the Cluster, Dr. Ettmüller collaborated with the Heidelberg Research Architecture on the project "Abou Naddara Collection". Together, they digitalized the newspapers published by the Egyptian nationalist James Sanua (Abou Naddara) from 1878 to 1910 and made them available on an open access website.
