Project Details
The scholarly goals of our group are pursued in four case studies. Two of these deal with the conceptualization of administration in the formative period of the state in early modern Europe with special regard to the role of Asiatic models of thought (Richter, Meurer). The other two projects pursue the reception of European models in China during the 19th and 20th centuries (Schillinger, Trummer).
