About Markus Pauli
Markus Pauli has studied Political Science at the Free University of Berlin (Germany) and the London School of Economics (United Kingdom). With International Political Economy and International Relations as his research interests, he received his 'Diplom' in 2005 with a thesis on the reform of the International Monetary Fund. Thereafter he worked as a project coordinator for InWEnt - Capacity Building International, a non-profit organisation dedicated to human resource development and commissioned by the German Federal Government. He is writing his doctoral thesis at Heidelberg University (Germany) on individual freedoms as a concept and practice in development and the operationalization of the capability approach for assessing the impact of poverty-oriented microfinance in India.
