About Yasemin Leylek
Yasemin Leylek studied Classics (Archaeology), Egyptology and European Art History at the University of Heidelberg (Germany). In 2008 she received her M. A. with her thesis “Aegean external relations in the time after the destruction of the palaces until the Renaissance of the 8th century B. C.” She is working on a PhD-project on “Open Spaces in Minoan Crete. A transdisciplinary approach to public spheres and social interaction in Bronze Age Crete”. During her study, she gave several public speeches at the Archaeological Institute of Heidelberg University and she works as an editor for the archaeological journal “Thetis. Mannheimer Beiträge zur Klassischen Archäologie und Geschichte Griechenlands und Zyperns”.
