"Die Balkankrise 1875-78 im Spiegel abendländischer und osmanischer Satireblätter" ("The Balkan Crisis 1875-78 as portrayed by European and Ottoman Satirical Magazines")
The present work will deal with Ottoman satire between 1875 and 1878. It will focus on satirical Ottoman periodicals like Hayal and Çaylak, as well as on the influence of the European satire magazines on them. Furthermore the work will show how the Russian-Ottoman war of 1977/78 is reflected in European and Ottoman satire magazines.
