About Dhrupadi Chattopadhyay
Dhrupadi Chattopadhyay graduated with a B.A.(Hons.) degree from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University (India), in 2005. Subsequently, she joined Jawaharlal Nehru University for her Masters Degree in English Studies (2007). Her keen interest in early Indian writing in English prompted her to choose a quasi-fossilized nineteenth century collection of poems, The Dutt Family Album (1870) as the centre of her critical enquiry for her M.Phil. research. The dissertation titled ‘A Familial Turn: A Study of The Dutt Family Album (1870)’, accomplished under the supervision of Dr. G.J.V. Prasad, has been an exciting prelude to her current research interest.
