About Eliane Ursula Ettmüller

Eliane Ettmüller is a postdoctoral researcher with special interests in matters of Islamism, Jihadism, Salafism, migration, Arabic journalism, Arabic caricature and Arabic satire. She has held different positions as a researcher, manager, humanitarian aid worker and interpreter. As a freelancer she has been active as a documentary filmmaker and as a novelist. She is fluent in five languages (Spanish, French, German, English, Arabic) and has worked in seven countries.
