About Violetta Janzen

Violetta Janzen is a Master student in Japanese Studies and Transcultural Studies at Heidelberg University since October 2016. She got her BA degree in Japanese Studies and History at Heidelberg University. In her bachelor thesis she examined the history and diversification of brothels and prostitutes in early modern Japan. After she spent one year at Mie University, Japan from 2012 to 2013 as a Bachelor student, she participated in the ISAP program with a stipend by the DAAD to spend another year from 2017 to 2018 at Osaka University, Japan.
