Workshop, Autumn School, and Film Festival on "Active Ageing" in New Delhi

The DAAD-funded cooperation project "New Directions in 'Active Ageing' and 'Age-friendly Culture' in India and Germany" between Heidelberg University and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), will host a Workshop, an Autumn School, and a Film Festival from 19th to 26th September 2018 in New Delhi, India.

The workshop "Caring Relations, Caring For Ageing" by Prof. Dr. Christiane Brosius and Roberta Mandoki at JNU, New Delhi on 19th/20th/25th September 2018 will examine care-taking in the context of ageing in South Asia with an excursion to a senior care center. This is followed by an Autumn School by Prof. Dr. William Sax on the topic "Ageing and Gender in South Asia", 21st-23rd/25th September 2018 including a visit of Mathura. The events conclude with the 1st Film Festival for Generations, 24th-26th September 2018, at the India International Centre screening fiction and documentary films on age-relevant topics such as demographic change and active ageing.
