Call for "Graduate Student Workshop"

Jun 11, 2013

The Cluster of Excellence “Asia and Europe in a Global Context” welcomes applications for funding a “Graduate Student Workshop”. Successful applicants will receive funds to organise an academic event. The application deadline is July 1, 2013.

Doctoral students have the opportunity to hold an academic event conceptualised, organised and implemented by themselves. The workshop should be scheduled for the first quarter of 2014. For this purpose the Graduate Programme for Transcultural Studies (GPTS) together with the four Research Areas will provide a budget of up to 7000,- EUR.

Doctoral students of Heidelberg University are entitled to submit an application. At least one of them must be a member of the GPTS or of an ongoing research project at the Cluster “Asia and Europe”. Applications should include the title, format, schedule and budget plan of the event, as well as an abstract highlighting the added value expected to be gained from it. They should, furthermore, contain details and, ideally, confirmations from invited and participating persons, and a preliminary programme. Cooperation within and beyond Heidelberg University is specifically welcome.

Applications of not more than 10 pages (one PDF-file) should be submitted until July 1, 2013, to gradworkshop@asia-europe.uni-heidelberg.de.
For further questions please contact the GPTS or the Research Area Coordinators under the same address.
