The film gives an overview on the three study foci and the teaching environment. Furthermore, it shows impressions of the life in Heidelberg. Three Master students from the US, Hong Kong and Germany tell their study experiences and share photos of their favourite spots in Heidelberg.

The film was produced by the film makers Christoph Bertolo and Sarah Ewald in 2013. The three students presented in the film are Alexandra Valdez, Arthur Ying Wai and Daniela Hochstätter.

The research-oriented M.A. Transcultural Studies starts every winter term. Applicants must hold a B.A. or equivalent in a discipline of the humanities, cultural or social sciences. Furthermore, they need to prove very good proficiency in English and two more languages. International students can submit their applications until June 15 every year. German students can enroll according to the University's enrolment deadlines. The M.A. Transcultural Studies is coordinated by the Graduate Programme Manager Jule Nowoitnick, the successor of Oliver Lamers, and supervised by Prof. Harald Fuess.
