Film on cooperation between Research Center "Ritual Dynamics" and DFG Science TV

Campus TV reports about the cooperation between the Cluster-affiliated research centre 619 "Ritual Dynamics" and DFG Science TV. Together, they produced seven short films about the variety of rituals in historical and contemporary cultures as well as the approaches in the science of rituals. The films seek to make the research on "Ritual Dynamics" open to the public.

The impulse for the cooperation was acknowledging the importance to communicate the findings of the researchers to an interested public audience, says Prof. Dr. Axel Michaels, Speaker of the Research Centre 619 "Dynamics of Ritual" and Co-Director of the Cluster of Excellence "Asia and Europe in a Global Context".
Campus TV sheds light on the production of two of the seven short films. They interview Prof. Dr. Christiane Brosius, Cluster Professor of Visual and Media Anthropology, and her assistant Dr. Karin Polit about their time with Science TV doing field work in India. Professor Dr. Hanna Liss from the College of Jewish Studies and her research assistant Anette Adelmann are interviewed about filming their work on ritual purity.

Campus TV is a magazine by Mannheim University and Heidelberg University. It is broadcasted by the local station RNF-plus.
