Introduction to Gephi & Network Graphics: "Geographical Networks"

Feb 14, 2014 04:00 pm to 06:00 pm
Organizer: HRA Training

Networks are everywhere. From correspondence networks and citation indices, to cell clusters, from travel routes to institutional structures. We will learn how to perform the basic steps of network analysis with Gephi. We will discuss the analytical tools and concepts as they pertain to humanities research. In this session we will focus on preparing network graphs for inclusion in different GIS applications. In other words how to plot your network on a map, using Gephi.

No previous knowledge is required, everybody is encouraged to bring samples of their own data, but practice data sets will be provided. If you bring your own computer, please make sure that Gephi is installed and ready for use.

This session will be held by Duncan Paterson.
