The renowned daily newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) publishes an article by Prof. Dr. Christiane Brosius, Cluster Professor for Visual and Media Anthropology, about Love in India.
In her article "Love is in the air: The Indian Valentine's Day" ("Love is in the air: Der indische Valentinstag"), Prof. Dr. Christiane Brosius analyses the phenomenon of being in love in different cultures with a focus on the celebration of the Valentine's Day in India.
The nationwide German daily newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung is considered to be one of the best three newspapers in the world. Its circulation is about 400.000 copies per day.
In addition, the research magazine "Ruperto Carola" published an article by Christiane Brosius on the same topic as cover story with the title "Global Emotions - Romantic Love in Times of the New Media" ("Globalisierte Gefühle - Die romantische Liebe in Zeiten neuer Medien"). Another article in "Ruperto Carola" has been written by Prof. Hans Harder on "Asian Satire" ("Doppelte Böden - Die Satire in Asien während des Kolonialismus und Imperialismus").
The research magazine "Ruperto Carola" is published three times per year by Heidelberg University and presents latest research work from scholars at Heidelberg University.
Prof. Dr. Christiane Brosius holds the Chair for Visual and Media Anthropology at the Cluster "Asia and Europe". Among other projects, she coordinates research project B18 "Beaming Romantic Love". Prof. Dr. Hans Harder is coordinator of the research projects B1 "Satire" and B13 "Tamil-Speaking Muslims".
