Postdoctoral Fellowships and One-year Postdoctoral Writing Grants, Göttingen

The Max-Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity, Germany, is seeking applications for two-year postdoctoral fellowships and one-year postdoctoral writing grants, starting on September or October 1, 2015.

Applicants for the postdoctoral fellowships should hold a PhD in Social/Cultural Anthropology, Religious Studies, Sociology or Political Science. A regional focus on Asia is preferred. The project should fit into one of the programmes of the Department of Religious Diversity.

Applicants for the one-year postdoctoral writing grants should hold a PhD by May 1, 2015. The successful candidates will develop a new research project or write the PhD thesis into publications.

The successful applicants will be expected to participate in the academic life of the institute.

Applications for the fellowships should include a CV, a list of publications and a writing sample. Applications for the writing grants should include a cover letter, a CV, a list of publications, a research/writing plan and a copy of the PhD-thesis or sample chapters.

The deadline for applications is May 1, 2015.
