How to get to Heidelberg
Located in the south-west of Germany, Heidelberg is easily accessible.
By train
Heidelberg can be reached via the Deutsche Bahn intercity connection. You can find the timetable here.
By plane
The nearest airport is located in Mannheim. This regional airport is connected with Berlin (Tegel) and Hamburg. From the airport, take tram number 5 to get to Heidelberg.
Further airports are:
Frankfurt Airport. Use the Lufthansa Airport Shuttle to get to Heidelberg.
Stuttgart Airport. Use the train to get to Heidelberg.
Baden-Baden Airport. The “Baden-Airpark-Express”-shuttle brings you to Heidelberg.
Frankfurt-Hahn Airport. Use the “Hahn Express”-shuttle to get to Heidelberg.
Strasbourg-Airport. Hop on the shuttle train to Strasbourg main station, then take a train to Heidelberg.
By car
Coming from the A 5, change to A 656 to Heidelberg at motorway junction Heidelberg. Coming from the A 6, change to A656 at motorway junction Mannheim.
How to get to the Karl Jaspers Centre
By car
Coming from the Autobahn, drive straight ahead and follow Bergheimer Straße. Turn left into Thibautstraße and then right into Voßstraße. You can see the Karl Jaspers Centre at the end of the street on the left side.
Coming from the directions of Neckargemünd, drive along the southern shore of the river Neckar, then follow Neckarstaden towards Zentrum and Bismarckplatz. Having passed Bismarckplatz, turn right into Bergheimer Straße. Then turn right two times into Thibautstraße and Voßstraße.
Public transport
At Heidelberg Mainstation, take bus lines 32, 33, 34, 735 or cable car lines 5 or 21 to Thibautstraße or Bismarckplatz respectively. From there, walk 3-4 minutes to Karl Jasper Center in Voßstraße 2.
