Assistants to Professorships

The administrative assistants to professorships act as a connection between the Chairs and the students, scholars and administrative staff. Currently, there are five professorships on Buddhist Studies, Cultural Economic History, Global Art History, Intellectual History and Visual and Media Anthropology. In addition, Start-Up Professorships will be set up soon.

The administrative assistants are mainly responsible for organisational matters such as travel arrangements, conference planning and correspondence on the behalf of the professorships. Furthermore, the administrative assistants coordinate the course curricula and manage the Chair’s course calendar (LSF). They also help with proof reading, coordinating the ERASMUS programme, managing funds and maintaining databases.

To support academic exchange and research of the professors, the administrative assistants accompany external scholars or foreign delegations and support new research assistants of the Cluster’s Chairs. Moreover, the administrative assistants support students regarding questions about courses, certifications and the professor’s office hours. They are the first point of contact to get in touch with the Cluster professors.
