Dr. Andrea Hacker, Managing Editor

Dr. Hacker joined the Cluster of Excellence in 2009. As head of the publications office, she supervises all three publishing outlets, offers courses and workshops on “Academic Writing in English”, manages the Cluster bibliography, and writes about the changes in academic communication. Before she joined Heidelberg University, she held lectureships at universities in the US, the Republic of Ireland and Germany. She holds a PhD in Slavic Languages and Literatures from the University of California Los Angeles. 

Ayesha Asif, M.A.

Ayesha Asif joined the publications office in 2014 and is responsible for the upkeep of the Cluster's bibliographic database. She also maintains the publications offices' webpages and occasionally copy edits for the various publications outlets. Ayesha holds an M.A. in South Asian Studies from the South Asia Institute, University of Heidelberg. Her interests lie in Open Access publications as well as writing and editing in English.

Sukla Chatterjee, PhD

Sukla Chatterjee has been working with the publications office of the Cluster of Excellence since 2011. She teaches the course Academic Writing in English (MATS) and is also the HTML editor of the Transcultural Studies e-journal. She is an associate member of the Cluster of Excellence and holds a PhD in Literature and Culture Studies from Heidelberg University.

Anna Larsson

Anna Larsson has been working at the publications office of the Cluster of Excellence since 2014 as copy editor for the Transcultural Studies e-journal and the Transcultural Research book series. She also tutors students in writing and tracks developments in Open Access publishing on social media. She has 20 years’ experience in translating and editing scholarly writing, and is currently pursuing an M.A. in English Linguistics.

Chelsea Roden

Chelsea Roden joined the publications office of the Cluster of Excellence in 2017. Previously, she was a Permissions Associate at Macmillan Learning and held internships and freelance positions at Ploughshares Literary Journal, Perseus Books Group, and Appalachian Mountain Club Books. She holds a B.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College and is currently pursuing an M.A. in English Literature.
