Über Qian Lin

LIN Qian received his PhD in Buddhist studies from the University of Washington with a study of the Chengshi Lun (成實論, *Tattvasiddhi) in 2015. After graduation, he has worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Academia Sinica, Taipei. In 2019, he took up the position as an assistant professor at the School of History, Qingdao University, China.


Presently he works as a postdoctoral researcher at the HCTS in the DFG project directed by Prof. Michael Radich “Intertextuality in the Chinese Buddhist Canon: Computational-Philological Assessment of Sources, Authorship/Translatorship, and Style”. His research interest includes early Buddhist texts and philosophy, Theravāda and Sarvāstivāda Abhidharma, Buddhist philosophy of mind, and the philosophy and practice of Buddhist meditation.
