Talk by assoc. Prof. Frank Bennett (Nagoya University): “Multilingual Zotero”

25. Okt 2012 18:00 Uhr bis 20:00 Uhr
Karl Jaspers Centre, Room 212

Frank Bennett (Nagoya University) will give an introduction to Multilingual Zotero (MLZ) and present his new book on MLZ that will be published this autumn.

MLZ is an experimental version of the widely spread reference management tool Zotero. As Zotero’s multilingual cousin MLZ is capable of handling references in more than one language. By adding information on script, language and transliteration schema to reference entries MLZ can generate citations and bibliographies from these variants (such as the romanized form of Japanese). Bibliographies, citations, and listings in Zotero itself can also be sorted on a field variant (such as the phonetic transliteration of Chinese text).

The talk is aimed at researchers and students that work with multiple languages.

The events with Frank Bennett are organized by the Heidelberg Research Architecture (HRA) and co-financed by Project D16 Reasoning in South Asian and Tibetan Buddhism.
