The Indian English-language daily newspaper “The Times of India” reports about the opening of the World's fifth German House for Research and Innovation (DWIH) inaugurated in Delhi. The Cluster supported Heidelberg Center South Asia is the largest university partner to the DWIH.

Various Media report about Award for Philipp Kohl

Various media such as the television channel ARD (SWR) and the German newspaper Mannheimer Morgen report about the bestowal of the Medal for Efforts in Integration by the German Federal Government to Philipp Kohl. The former Ethnology student of Prof. Christiane Brosius received the award for his documentary “Transnationalmannschaft”. The media reports are based on a press release by the German Federal Government.

Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung reports about award-presentation

The German newspaper Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung reports about the presentation of the "Anneliese-Maier-Award" on September 13, 2012. Prof. Patrick Geary, member of the Cluster’s Advisory Board, was among the seven researchers who received the prize. Prof. Dr. Annette Schavan, Secretary of Education, presented the award and mentioned the Cluster of Excellence “Asia and Europe in a Global Context” as an outstanding example for research on globalization processes.
