Reception for Visiting Scholars

The Rector of Heidelberg University invited Visiting Scholars and their hosts to a reception on Tuesday, January 31, at 6 pm in the Old Auditorium. The Cluster's Acting Director Prof. Axel Michaels gave a talk on "Cultural Hybridity".

Prof. Dr. Thomas Pfeiffer, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, opened the reception with a welcome speech. Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Axel Michaels gave insights into the culture- and religious studies of South Asia in his talk entitled "Cultural Hybridity".

The talks were framed by a short music programme with a French horn quartet. After the programme, Rector Prof. Dr. Bernhard Eitel invited to enjoy light refreshments in the Bel Etage.

Interested persons were asked to register by January 27, 2012.
